INDUSTRY 4.0: THE EVIDENT INTENSIFICATION OF WORKING-CLASS EXPLOITATION

Resumen

We live in an era of deregulation and precariousness of labor relations, in a context of asymmetric globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, marked by the strengthening of control, the intensification of working hours, the transfer of activity risks to the worker and the precariousness of working conditions. The consequences of these transformations are evident and fall on the most vulnerable class, especially those who work in informal employment and with income insecurity and instability, leaving them in a situation of greater vulnerability.

The new paradigm of the economic system based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has presented us with a new structural dynamic of capital, with the use of management techniques aimed at increasing productivity through the use of science and technology, to reduce the organization's costs, however, at the expense of the exploitation of workers. The continuous use of digital technologies has subjected the working class to constant surveillance and an invasion of the worker's personal routine, which leaves them in a permanent state of readiness, often exceeding legal working hours, configuring a new form of exploitation called "digital slavery", further evidence that work in times of Industry 4.0 increases the exploitation of labor and, consequently, brings psychosocial risk factors to individuals.
