SUCCESSION AND LAW FROM ANCIENT ROME TO THE PRESENT: COLLATIONES

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to carry out a brief study about the institution of collatio, its foundation, nature and its evolution throughout history and that of our legal system. To do this, we will analyze the origins and evolution of the family structure, the historical precedents of our Castilian law. For all this we will take a tour from the Romanesque origin of the collatio to its current regulation in our Civil Code.
